Join us Tuesday, April 20 to get a virtual preview of the 6-week course to be held on Zoom each Tuesday, April 27 - June 1, 2021.

Living with a chronic condition or caring for someone with a chronic condition?

Clackamas County Social Services is offering a free, 6-week, virtual workshop series on how to improve your health and outlook on life while experiencing a chronic condition. These small groups are interactive and fun consisting of 6 -10 participants. Participants will need to have access to a computer or device with a camera and sound while using Zoom.

Group facilitators share tools and techniques to help you take charge, feel better and live a happier life! You will explore ways to:

  • Use positive thinking, breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Deal with feelings of depression, anger, fear and frustration
  • Develop healthy eating habits and food choices
  • Discover the level of activity right for you
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Learn tips about medication management working with healthcare partners
  • Brainstorm solutions to challenges and barriers
  • Make weekly action plans that are comfortable for you
  • Learn pain management options

Workshop sessions will be held on Zoom every Tuesday, 10:00am - 12:30pm starting April 27 through June 1. Registered participants receive a complimentary "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions" book as a resource for the workshop and your continued journey to better living.

Facilitated by Clackamas County Volunteers, Barbara Bellanca and Jean O'Shea.

Once you register, we will send you a link to the Virtual Preview Session for Tuesday, April 20th. If you choose to enroll for the 6-week course, you will receive the Zoom link prior to 4/27. If we reach capacity, we will keep a waitlist for future workshops.
